Basic cards are the cards every new player start with, featuring 19 monsters and 1 spell of each class. Since Beta 30.0, these obtained a unique Rarity of their own, rather than being Common cards. This allowed them to be changed to make things fair for everyone.
- Everyone has 3 non-shiny of each (which is the maximum usable).
- Non-shiny Basic cards are unable to be crafted or disenchanted.
- Basic cards can't be unpacked, not even shiny ones.
Because of their change in Rarity, Basic monsters are now unable to be obtained through Igloo. Instead, they are obtainable through Tutorial Guy.
