Since Beta 53.0, Memory Head will add an exact copy of itself to your hand when played, but only if it's not generated. This means that only the Magic of Memory Heads that started in your deck will activate.
While you can use cards like Doggo to re-use the original ones, the more effective way to use this is in an Amalgamate deck, where Reaper Bird and Snowdrake's Mom can boost its stats before it enters the board. The copy will have those boosted stats as well.
