G(aster) Follower 2 was released during the Beta 5.3 Halloween 2016 update. It is a Follower introducing the Future effect. As of Beta 46.0, this effect has been replaced by Synergy.
GF2 is the only Follower with an effect other than Magic or Synergy, this being Haste. That gives it decent use as a 4/3 for 6G. However, its Synergy makes it very strong in a Follower Deck, as it will summon another GF2 for free when played after having played another Follower beforehand on the same turn. (Since Synergy is a Magic-like effect, it only triggers when played, not summoned. So it won't chain.)
