Loox is a 1/1/2 card of common rarity. When played they can deal 1 DMG to any target. If this DMG targetted an ally monster, Loox will gain +1 ATK.
Strategy[]
Loox is most seen when they are generated by Astigmatism, but they have some use as a combo tool in other decks. They act as a 1 DMG ping card, being a monster version of Gemstone. While 1 DMG is not a lot, it can be useful in combination with some other cards. Loox is the cheapest monster that can benefit from Pile of Dust, turning them into a 4/4 monster for only 2 G. Similarly, Loox is the cheapest option for killing an ally Mettaton NEObeing a very cheap 2 card enemy board clear. Loox also works well in combination with cards that trigger effects on damaged monsters, including cards like Scissor Dancer, Contamination, and Asgore.
Loox can also be used in some zoo decks, acting as a conditional 1/2/2. This is not a common use but it can be good in combination with Charles and the aforementioned Pile of Dust. In general though, there are better options for this kind of deck.
Loox has a very niche use in decks that aim to trigger Last Dream as a win condition. Using Knife on an enemy monster alongside hitting yourself with loox makes for a much more reliable way to reach 1 HP. This function is also shared by Ponman.
