Trader Temmie was one of the 20 cards added in Beta 6.6. Previous Versions can be found here.
Since Beta 55.0, Trader Temmie has a solid 4/4/4 and has 2 Abilities: Transparency and a Turn end effect that adds a random spell (of any class) to your hand with a cost of 0-1G.
Outside Tem Decks, this can allow you to grind up the needed spells to benefit from the effects of Long Sink and Magic Crystal. Inside them, you can potentially sacrifice the obtained spells as fuel for School Temmie's effect. Trader Temmie itself is also affected by Temmie Statue and affects Allergic Temmie and is obtainable as the 6th card from Bob (if all different Tems are dead and accounted for).
You can also make a combined Magic Crystal and Tem deck, as Temmie 2 is also a very good fuel card for School Temmie.
